CITY HALL, AZUSA, CALIFORNIA. TUESDAY, MARCH 23, 1948. 7:30 P.M.
The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular ad-
journed session at the above time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen: Jumper,
Memmesheimer, Dickerson, Malone, City Attorney
Tscharner, City Clerk. ROLL CALL
Absent: Councilman Nasser.
The application of Mrs. W. G. Wheatley for an
exception or variance permitting the change of
zoning from the present R-1 Zone to an R-4
' Zone, on Lot 6 and the S. V of Lot 5 in Block ZONE VARIANCE
6, was offered. GRANTED MRS.
Moved by Councilman Jumper, seconded by Council- W. G. WREATLEY

Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Jumper, Memmesheimer,
Dickerson, Malone.
Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Nasser.
Moved by Councilman Jumper, seconded by Council-
man Memmesheimer that the zoning of the premises
described as Lot 6 and the S. z of Lot 5 in
Block 6, Map of Azusa, be changed from an R-1
to an R-2 Zone in compliance with the
recommendations of the City Planning Commission.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Jumper, Memmesheimer,
Dickerson, Malone.
Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Nasser.

A petition to erect an apartment on the rear of
Lot 14, Block D, Azusa Heights Tract, by Rex
Strohmeier, was presented.
ZONE VARIANCE

Moved by Councilman Memmesheimer, seconded by
STROHMEIER

Councilman Dickerson that the City Council
does hereby resolve that the petition of Rex
Strohmeler requesting a variance changing the
use of Lot 14, Block D, Azusa Heights Tract
from Zone R-1 to Zone R-2 be and the same is
hereby granted for the reason that the same
has been approved by the City Planning
Commission. The building to be erected on
said premises to conform to the description
of the buildings shown in sketch attached to
the petition.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Jumper, Memnesheimer,
Dickerson, Malone.
Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Nasser.
The petition of Mrs. Carrie E. Williams for a
zone variance was presented.

Councilman Dickerson the application of Edward
B. and Evelyn Dorothy Evans to change the
property described as the N:J of-Lot�35, Block
Azusa from an R-1 Zone to a C-2 Zone be and the
same is hereby granted and said premises to be
known and designated a C-2 Zone.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Jumper, Memnesheimer,
Dickerson, Malone.
' Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Nasser.
A request to use the auditorium, offered by Don
E. Duncan, was read.
Moved and carried this request be granted.
Moved by Councilman Memmesheimer, seconded by
Councilman Jumper the following requisitions
be allowed: 968-993.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Jumper, Memmesheimer,
Dickerson, Malone.
Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Nasser.
Moved by Councilman Memmesheimer, seconded by
Councilman Jumper the following bills be
allowed and warrants ordered drawn upon the
