The City Council of the City of Azusa met in
regular session at the above time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen: Nasser,
Memmesheimer, Malone, Jumper, City Attorney
Tscharner and City Clerk.
Absent: Councilman Ortuno.
Each member present acknowledged receipt of a
written copy of the minutes of June 21, 1948.
The Mayor asked if there were any objections or
corrections to said minutes. There being none,
the minutes of June 21, 1948 were approved as
written.
The Map of Subdivision No. 14221 was presented
for approval.
Councilman Malone offered a resolution entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA APPROVING
MAP OF SUBDIVISION NO. 14221 AND AUTHORIZING
THE RECORDING OF SAME.
Moved by Councilman Memmesheimer, seconded by
Councilman Nasser this resolution be adopted
as read and numbered Resolution No. 2238.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Nasser, Memmesheimer, Malone,
Jumper. Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman Ortuno.
The Clerk announced that five bids had been
received in answer to Notice Inviting Bids on
the installation of a pump for Well No. 4.
Moved by Councilman Malone, seconded by Council-
man Memmesheimer the bids be now opened, examined
and publicly declared.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Nasser, Memmesheimer,
Idalone, Jumper. Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman Ortuno.

Engineer and Superintendent of Water Dept. for
checking and report.

Councilman Ivtalone offered an ordinance entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, REGULATING
THE DEPOSIT OR DISCHARGE OF INDUSTRIAL WASTE.
to be placed upon its second reading.
The title of this ordinance was then read.
Moved by Councilman Memmesheimer, seconded by
Councilman Nasser, Council waive the further
reading of this ordinance.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:

Jumper. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Ortuno.

OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO SIGN AND ATTEST THE
SAME.
