CITY HALL, AZUSA, CALIFORNIA. OCTOBER 25, 1948. 7:30 P.M.
The City Council of the City of Azusa met in
regular adjourned session at the above time
and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen: Nasser, Ortuno,
Memmesheimer, Malone, Jumper, City Attorney Roll Call
Tscharner and City Clerk. Absent: None.
Councilman Malone offered a resolution entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
' AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING
THE SUPERINTENDENT OF WATER DEPARTMENT TO PURCHASE
PUMPS IN THE OPEN MARKET. Resolution No.
Moved by Councilman Memmesheimer, seconded by
2267 Adopted
Councilman Nasser this Resolution be adopted as
read and numbered Resolution No. 2267.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Nasser, Ortuno, Memmesheimer,
Malone, Jumper. Noes: None. Absent: None.
Councilman Nasser offered a resolution entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA APPROVING FIRST SUPPLEMENTAL MEMORANDUM OF
AGREEMENT FOR EXPENDITURE OF GAS TAX ALLOCATION
FOR MAJOR CITY STREETS.
Moved by Councilman Memmesheimer, seconded by
Councilman Ortuno this resolution be adopted as
read and numbered Resolution No. 2268. Resolution No.
Carried by the following vote of the Council: 2268 Adopted
Ayes: Councilmen: Nasser, Ortuno, Memmesheimer,
Malone, Jumper. Noes: None. Absent: None.
' Moved by Councilman Malone, seconded by Council-
man Memmesheimer the City Planning Commission
consider the following recommendations on the
Proposed Zoning Ordinance and Map submitted to
them by the Planning Commission and on which the
City Council held a public hearing on October City Planning
200 1948. Commission to
Carried by the following vote of the Council: consider the
Ayes: Councilmen: Nasser, Ortuno, Mearuesheim3r, followingrecommendations
Malone, Jumper. Noes: None. Absent: None.
1. That the area on the north side of Foothill Blvd. at its
easterly end in Zone SC -Special Commercial be made 400 feet deep.
2. That the proposed C-2 Zone on the south side of Foothill Blvd.
between Dalton and Soldano be extended southerly to include the
first lot facing Dalton and Solaano, in order to provide for the
proposed Presbyterian Church expansion.
3. That Section 14.6 of the Ordinance be changed so as to require
side yards only when abutting lot or parcel is used for residential
purposes.
4. That Sec. 14.9 of the Ordinance be changed to delete the require-
ment of not more than one sign, leaving total sign area at thirty-two
' square feet for 50 feet of frontage.
5. That Sec. 14.10 of the Ordinance be changed to provide for
approval of Council as well as Planning Commission.
Moved by Councilman Malone, seconded by Council-
man Memmesheimer and duly carried Council adjourn.
