The City Council of the City of Azusa, sitting as a Board of Equalization met at the above time and place. Present at roll call: Councilmen: Nasser, Ortuno, Malone, Jumper, City Attorney Tscharner and City Clerk. Absent: Councilman Memmesheimer. Approximately 200 sworn applications for adjustment of assessment were filed, all of which are on file with the City Clerk who is also Clerk of the Board of Equalization. All parties desiring to be heard in support of their sworn applications were heard by the Board. At the request of Attorney Houston A. Snidow; representing certain property owners, Karl Jones was duly sworn and testified. His testimony was taken on a stenotype machine and thereafter trans- cribed in typewritten form, which testimony is on file in the office of the City Clerk. Also at the request of Attorney Snidow, William H. Holabird, a Realtor and Appraiser of 2085 Glen View Terrace, Altadena, Calif- ornia, was sworn and testified to the effect that he was employed to make certain appraisals by the Real Estate Board of the City of Azusa and the Voters League, and had been instructed by Attorney Snidow to appraise certain properties in the City of Azusa. The testimony of said William H. Holabird was taken on a stenotype machine and thereafter transcribed on the typewriter and all of said testimony is on file in the office of the City Clerk and is made a part of the record of the proceedings of the Board of Equalization. At 1:00 o'clock P.M. the Board of Equalization recessed to reconvene at 2:00 o'clock P.M. of said day at the City Hall in said City, nn Clerk — e q9ard of Equalization CITY HALL, AZUSA, CALIFORNIA. SATURDAY, JULY 9, 1949. 2:00 P.M. The Board of Equalization reconvened at 2:00 o'clock P.M. of said 9th day of July, 1949. Present at roll call: Councilmen: Ortuno, Malone, Jumper, City Attorney Tscharner and City Clerk. Absent: Councilmen: Memmesheimer and Nasser. Further sworn applications for adjustment of assessment and reduction of assessment on properties in the City were filed and all parties desiring to be heard in support of their applications were given the opportunity. At 4:00 o'clock P. M. it was moved by Councilman Malone, seconded by Councilman Ortuno and duly carried that the Board of Equalization adjourn to meet again on Monday, July 11 at 9'00 o'clock A. Written applications for reduction of assessment were received and all parties given the opportunity to testify in support of their applications. Burton Porter testified.
