The City Council of the City of Azusa met
in regular adjourned session at the above
time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen: Memmesheimer,
Malone, Jumper, City Clerk and City Engineer.
Absent: Councilmen: Nasser, Ortuno and City
Attorney.
Moved by Councilman Malone, seconded by
Councilman Memmesheimer and duly carried
council adjourn to the City Clerk's office
to continue the meeting due to another meet-
ing having been scheduled for the auditorium.
After some discussion with City Engineer
Ralph Hooks, Councilman Memmesheimer offer-
ed a resolution entitled:

REPORTS ON SPECIAL
WHEREAS, Investigation Report No. 1 under the pro-
visions of the "SPECIAL ASSESSMENT INVESTIGATION,
Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931" in
the matter of the improvement of Virginia Avenue
between Paramount Avenue aid Broadway formerly known
as (Dalton Road) with certain grading, the construction
of Portland cement concrete curbs and gutters, and
paving the driveway aprons with pre -mix pavement two
inches thick, and the improvement of Paramount Avenue
' and Broadway Avenue at their intersections with Virginia
Avenue by grading and the construction of Portland cement
concrete curb and gutter, has been prepared by the City
Engineer and Superintendent of Streets and is presented
herewith; and
WHEREAS, this City Council has examined the same and deems
that the public interest and convenience require the pro-
posed improvement therein provided for in the manner therein
set forth:

o'clock P. M. is hereby fixed as the time aid the City Auditorium
in the -City Hall of the City of Azusa situated at 213 East Foot-
hill Blvd., Azusa, is hereby fixed as the place at which the City
Council will conduct a hearing on said report, and the City
Clerk of the City of Azusa is hereby directed to mail said
notices of said hearing in the form and manner provided in
Division 4, Part 3, of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California.

Pages 17 and 18 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County,
California, with certain grading, the construction of Portland
cement concrete curbs and gutters, paving the driveway aprons
with pre -mix pavement two inches thick, and the construction
of Portlm d cement concrete sidewalks; and also the improvement
of San Gabriel Avenue on both sides of the street between First

provement therein provided for in the manner therein set forth:

fifteen (15) feet Easterly of the East property line of Angelenc
Avenue with certain grading, the construction of Portland cement
concrete curbs and gutters and paving the driveway aprons with
pre -mix pavement two inches thick, also the North side of
Second Street between the Southerly prolongation of the Easter-

ly line of Lot 18 of Tract No. 13736 as per map recorded in
Book 275, Pages 48 to 50 of Maps, Records of Los Angeles County,
California, and San Gabriel Avenue with certain grading, the
construction of Portland cement concrete curbs and gutters;
and also the improvement of Orange Avenue at its intersection
with Third Street, has been prepared by the City Engineer and
Superintendent of Streets and is presented herewith; and
WHEREAS, this City Council has examined the same and deems that
the public interest and convenience require the proposed improve-
ment therein provided for in the manner therein set forth:
NOW, THEREFORE, that the said report be and the same is hereby
approved, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
