The SRO would work under the direction and supervision of the Operations Division of the Azusa
Police Department, in cooperation with the Azusa High School principle.
The shared cost is defined by having the Azusa Unified School District pay 55% of the SRO’s Full Time
Equivalent (FTE) x 50%, which will result in a payment of $46,500.00 to the City’s General Fund. The
balance of the assigned officer’s FTE is paid by the City’s General Fund.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The City’s share of the SRO’s FTE is budgeted in the FY 2018/19 operating budget (Account #10-20-
310-000-4625). The Azusa Unified School District will reimburse the City’s General Fund in
accordance with the provisions of the agreement.
