The City Council of the City of Azusa
met in regular adjourned session at the
above time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen: Jackson,
Seltzer, Memmesheimer, Jones, City Attorney
Snidow and Deputy City Clerk. Absent:
Councilman Ortuno sa d City Clerk.
• Councilman Memmesheimer offered a resolution
entitled:

AT A SALARY RANGE OF $322.00 PER MONTH, EFFECT-
IVE JANUARY 19 1952.

Mayor Jones this resolution be adopted as
read and numbered Resolution No. 2585.

Councilman Memmesheimer offered a resolution
entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, EMPLOYING JOHN LITTLEFIELD AS A
RESERVE OFFICER IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OF
THE CITY OF AZUSA PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS
OF RESOLUTION NUMBER 2483 OF THE CITY OF AZUSA,
EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 1, 1952.

Mayor Jones this resolution be adopted as
read and numbered Resolution No. 2586.

Councilman Memmesheimer offered a resolution
entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, EMPLOYING PAUL E. SREEAN AS A
PROBATIONARY PATROLMAN IN THE POLICE DEPART-
MENT OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AND FIXING HIS SALARY
AT $2h4.00 PER MONTH, EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 1, 1952.
Moved by Councilman Seltzer, seconded by
Mayor Jones this resolution be adopted as
read and numbered Resolution No. 2587.

Relative to a recommendation of the Planning
Commission that a variance be granted to Nick
Jars and H. L. Hutchins, D. C., for the pur-
pose of conducting a chiropractic office at
347 N. San Gabriel Avenue, it was moved by
Councilman Seltzer, seconded by Councilman
Memmesheimer that this variance be granted

with a stipulation that no architectural
or structural changes be made without
` approval of the City Council. Also that
the City Clerk be instructed to.advise the
Building Inspector of this stipulation and
the City Attorney be instructed to prepare
a resolution authorizing said variance.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Jackson, Seltzer,
Memmesheimer, Jones.
Noes: None Absent: Councilman Ortuno.
Mayor Jones advised Council that upon transfer
of John Littlefield from the Police Depart-
ment to the Fire Department at $244.00 per
month a salary decrease had taken place due
to the fact that Littlefield had been receiv-
ing $258.00 per month while employed by the
Police Department. It was unanimously agreed
that Council had no intention of giving such
a salary decrease.
Moved by Councilman Memmesheimer, seconded
by Councilman Seltzer Resolution No. 2580
adopted January 210 1952 setting Littlefield's
salary at $244.00 per month be rescinded. -

Councilman Memmesheimer offered a resolution
entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING JOHN LITTLEFIELD AS
A PROBATIONARY EMPLOYEE IN THE CAPACITY OF
A FULL TIME FIREMAN IN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AND FIXING HIS SALARY AT
$258.00 PER MONTH, EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 1, 1952•
Moved by Councilman Jackson, seconded by
Councilman Seltzer this resolution be adopted
as read and numbered Resolution No. 2588.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Jackson,,Seltzer,
Memmesheimer, Jones.
Noes: None Absent: Councilman Ortuno.

Councilman Jackson the following bills be
allowed and warrants ordered drawn upon the
Treasury for the same:
