6 OF ARTICLE VI OF CHAPTER 78 OF THE AZUSA MUNICIPAL CODE
REGARDING WATER CONSERVATION

DISCUSSION:
On June 27, 2016, the Utility Board approved an amended Water Rule 21 “Water Conservation”
to reflect current water supply conditions and considerations. Due to the significance of the
Azusa Light & Water’s water conservation rules, it is essential to maintain consistency between
the Azusa Municipal Code and Azusa Light & Water Rules and Regulations to facilitate
enforcement of water conservation requirements both inside and outside of the City.
At the Special City Council Meeting of June 27, the City Council conducted the first reading,
waived further reading, and read by title only the attached Water Conservation ordinance. The
recommended action will adopt the amended ordinance.
