AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA
AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE V, SECTION 2-387,
OF THE AZUSA MUNICIPAL CODE, CHANGING THE MEMBERSHIP
OF THE CULTURAL AND HISTORICAL LANDMARK COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the present membership of the Cultural and Historical Landmark Commission is
established at nine members, as set forth in Section 2-387 of the Azusa Municipal Code, and
WHEREAS, there are currently two vacancies on the Commission, and
WHEREAS,the work of the Commission and Staff can be made more efficient by reducing the number
of commissioners,
NOW, therefore, the City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: Chapter 2,Article V, Section 2-387 of the Azusa Municipal Code is hereby changed to
read as follows:
"Sec. 2-387. Appointment.
The commission shall consist of seven members,none of whom shall be officers or employees
of the city. The members of the commission shall serve four-year terms, except when appointed
pursuant to Section 2-32(5)to fill an unexpired term. All members shall be appointed by majority vote
of the city council and shall serve pursuant to Section 2-32. Members of the commission may be
removed from office pursuant to Section 2-32."
SECTION 2: The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the same to
be published as required by law.

ORDINANCE NO. 99-015
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AMENDING CHAPTER 54,
ARTICLE II, SECTION 54-36, OF THE AZUSA MUNICIPAL CODE,
CHANGING THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the present membership of the Planning Commission is established at seven members,
as set forth in Section 54-36 of the Azusa Municipal Code, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has received the resignation of two planning commissioners, and
WHEREAS, the work of the Planning Commission and Planning Staff can be made more efficient by
reducing the number of commissioners,
NOW, therefore, the City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: Chapter 54, Article II, Section 54-36 of the Azusa Municipal Code is hereby changed
to read as follows:
"Sec. 54-36. Appointment; membership.
The planning commission shall consist of five members, none of whom shall be officers or
employees of the city. Appointments to the commission and removal from office, shall be pursuant
to section 2-32. The director of community development or his/her designee shall serve as advisor to
the commission."
SECTION 2: The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the same to
be published as required by law.
