PRESENT: Joe Torres, Carlos Udria, Pam Mercado, Rossana Helbert and David Santellan ROLL CALL STAFF: Roy Chavez, Park Supervisor ABSENT: Condie Lopez Minutes of September 21, 2006,were approved on a motion by Pam Mercado,seconded MINUTES APPROVED by Rossana Helbert. Consent calendar item # 1-5, were approved with standard fees, conditions and/or CONSENT CALENDAR modifications as noted, on a motion by Pam Mercado, seconded by Carlos Udria. ITEMS: 1. Request use of Senior Center on February 10, 2006 from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. from RETANA SR. CENTER Jennifer Retana for birthday party. 2/10 2. Request use of Memorial Park on November 18, 2006 from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 PABLO MPK ROOM 5 p.m. by Justina Pablo for baptism. 11/18 3. Request use of Memorial Park on October 16, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. BAUTISTA MPK ROOM 5 by Christopher Bautista for fitness seminar. 10/16 4. Request use of Senior Center on January 6, 2007, from 3:00 p.m.to 10:00 p.m.by AFRICA SR. CENTER Larissa Africa for birthday party. 1/6/07 5. Request use of Woman's Club softball on November 2,06 from 7:30 a.m.to 11:00 REID L&W-WOMAN'S p.m. by Paul Reid for Light and Water breakfast. CLUB Staff updated Commission on all programs and projects. STAFF UPDATE With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:07 p.m. ADJOURN Commissioner Pam stated that the Golden Days website still has last year's information OTHER BUSINESS and that it needs to be updated. Ranch Market eminent domain was discussed. The joint meeting between Council and Parks and Recreation Commission there are no recorded minutes, but notes were taken and are being gathered. Next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 19, 2006, at 5:30 p.m. at Memorial NEXT MEETING 10/19/06 Park Recreation Center.
