PRESENT: Joe Torres, Pam Mercado, Rossana Helbert, David Santellan and Condie Lopez ROLL CALL STAFF: Joe Jacobs, Director of Recreation and Family Services Roy Chavez, Recreation Superintendent-Parks Division EXCUSED: Minutes of March 20, 2008, were approved on a motion by Pam Mercado, seconded by MINUTES APPROVED Joe Torres. Consent calendar item #1 was determined to be for information #2-9, were approved CONSENT CALENDAR with standard fees, conditions and/or modifications as noted, on a motion by Rossana ITEMS: Helbert, seconded by Pam Mercado. 1. Request use of Memorial Park on April 20, 2008 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. by GANAS MPK STAGE 4/20 Monica Ganas for Renaissance Festival. 2. Request use of Senior Center on June 21, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. by MUNGUIA SR. CENTER Marcia Munguia for baptism celebration. 6/21 3. Request use of Woman's Club on May 8, 2008 from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. by REID WOMAN'S CLUB Paul Reid for breakfast meeting. 5/8 4. Request use of Senior Center on August 23, 2008 from 4:00 p.m.to 10:00 p.m. by CURIEL SR. CENTER 8/23 Daniela Curiel for wedding reception. 5. Request use of Memorial Park ball fields Monday-Friday from April 13 to May 30, SINCLAIR MPK BALL 2008 from 2:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. by Nolan Sinclair for practices and games. FIELDS 6. Request use of Senior Center on May 24, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. by VASQUEZ SR. CENTER Damien Vasquez for 50th birthday party. 5/24 7. Request use of Northside Park on 5/10, 6/7 and 6/14 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. LUCAS NSPK FIELD by Devon Lucas for softball tournament. 8. Request use of Memorial Park meeting room on April 22, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to BOLDUC MPK ROOM 8:00 p.m. by Jamie Bolduc for board meeting. 4/22 9. Request use of Memorial Park Gym on June 21, 2008 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 MALIGLIG MPK GYM p.m. by Shawna Maliglig for teen event. 6/21 Staff updated Commission on all programs and projects. STAFF UPDATE With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:00 p.m. ADJOURN Next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 17, 2008, at 5:30 p.m. at Memorial Park NEXT MEETING 4/17/08 Recreation Center.
