SUBJECT: ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT FROM CALIFORNIA MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES
AUTHORITY
BACKGROUND:
The Azusa City Library has been awarded a grant in the amount of $4,000 from California Mental
Health Services Authority (CalMHSA). This action accepts this grant award and approves a
corresponding budget amendment to incorporate the grant funds into the current fiscal year budget.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends that the City Council take the following actions:
1)Accept the grant award from California Mental Health Services Authority; and
2)Approve necessary budget amendments and adjust the current fiscal year budget accordingly.
ANALYSIS:
The Library is the recipient of the California Mental Health Services Authority. This grant supports
community engagement activities to strengthen and transform awareness around mental health.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact associated with the recommended actions; this grant will support several special
programs and events at the Library. Upon Council acceptance of the grant, Finance staff will amend the
FY2018-19 budget consistent with the grant award amount.
