PRESENT: Pam Mercado, Tiffany Adamson, Joe Torres, Carlos Udria, Mary Sandlin and ROLL CALL Johnny Sanchez STAFF: Joe Jacobs, Director of Recreation and Family Services Roy Chavez, Parks Supervisor ABSENT: Carlos Udria EXCUSED: Marvin Sandlin Minutes of November 6, 2003 were approved as written on a motion by Joe Torres and MINUTES APPROVED seconded by Pam Mercado. Consent calendar item #2-5 were approved with standard fees, conditions, and or CONSENT CALENDAR modifications as noted on a motion by David Santellan,seconded by Joe Torres. Within the ITEMS: same motion, #1 was denied due to lack of information. 1. Request from Anne McMillan to use Pioneer Park June 21,2004 to July 2, 2004 and McMILLAN PIONEER also July 12,2004 to July 23, 2004 for Monday-Friday science enrichment day camp SUMMER DAY CAMP program. 2. Request use Pioneer Park on December 6, 2003 from 12:00-4:30 p.m. by Michael CABALLERO PIONEER Caballero party. PARK 12/6 3. Request use of Pioneer Park on December 20, 2003 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. for GONZALEZ PIONEER birthday party for Juan Carlos Gonzalez. PARK 12/20 Request use of moon bounce at Memorial Park on November 29, 2003 from 10:00 AMBRIS MOON BOUNCE a.m.-8:00 p.m. by S.Ambris. MPK 11/29/03 5. Request use of Gladstone Park Pony field by Glendora Pride on November 23,2003 GLENDORA PRIDE GPK from 5:30-8:30 p.m. for Championship Winter ballgame. BALLFIELD 11/23 Staff updated Commission on all ongoing and upcoming recreation and parks programs in STAFF UPDATE addition to passing on the sad news of the sudden passing of Transportation Manager Pete MacKay following a heart attack. With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:00 p.m ADJOURN Next meeting to be held on Thursday, December 4, 2003 at 5:30 p.m. at Memorial Park NEXT MEETING 12/4/03 Recreation Center. •
