The meeting was called to order at 5:05 p.m. by Mary Sandlin. David Santellan led the group in CALL TO ORDER
the pledge of allegiance.

Minutes were approved as mailed. APPROVED
Items I through 14, except item 10, were approved on a single motion by David Santellan,
seconded by Joe Torres, and unanimously approved.
I . Request from Michelle Robles to use a moon bounce at Pioneer Park on Saturday, REQUEST FROM

Item 10,tree replacement along Foothill and Alosta Ave., was discussed and the following action TREE
was taken. Motioned by David Santellan, seconded by Condie Lopez, and unanimously approved REPLACEMENT
to recommend to City Council that the following trees be selected as replacement for those ficus
trees destroyed by the January 1997 windstorm. (A) Brachychiton Populneus (bottle trees), (B)
Grijera Parviflora(Australian willow).

Brief discussion of the proposed Rosedale project as presented by Dave Linden, Pat Loy, and ROSEDALE

Staff recommends that recognition and a thank you be prepared for Jack Wood and the National RECOGNITION
Guard Armory for allowing the city to park their transit vehicles in their yard these past years. It FOR JACK WOOD

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:03 p.m. ADJOURN
The next meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission will be Thursday, April 3, 1997 at 5:00 NEXT MEETING
