D. Approval of Minutes of 7/16/98 meeting. Meeting of 8/3/98 not held due to lack of quorum.
E. Ceremonial/Public Participation
F. Consent
1. Request from Azusa Dolfins Swim Team to use (3) eight foot tables for swim banquet on
Saturday, August 22, 1998 from 7:00-9:00 p.m.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve with standard conditions.
2. Request from Donna Eaves to use Slauson Park Pool for a birthday party on Saturday,
August 29, 1998 from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve with standard fees and conditions.
3. Request from Knights of Columbus for use Pioneer Park for a family picnic on Sunday,
August 30, 1998 from 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
4. Request from Azusa Head Start to use rooms 4 and 5 in the Memorial Park Center for
parents meetings on September 9 & 10, 1998.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve with standard conditions.
5. Request from Recreation & Parks Department to use the Slauson Park Aquatics Center
for dance/swim party for middle school students on Friday,9/25/98 from 5:00-11:00 p.m.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve with standard conditions.
6. Request from Baldy Voiture #104 to use Pioneer Park on Saturday, 10/3/98 from 10:00
a.m.-9:00 p.m. for annual picnic.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve with standard conditions.
7. Request from JoAnn Bishop to use Northside Park club house Tuesday afternoons from
1:30-2:45 p.m., September through June for Azusa Released Time Christian Education.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve with standard conditions.
8. Request from Evelyn Sanchez (Jr. All American Football) to use room at Memorial Park
on Saturday, August 29, 1998 from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. for certification and
fingerprinting.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve with standard conditions.
G. Informational
1. Council decision regarding status of Department as per 8/3/98 meeting of the City
Council.
2. Budget 1998-99.
3. Program update.
a. Recreation: Randy Noriega, Joe Jacobs

4. Board and Commission term expirations.
