CITY HALL AZUSA, CALIFORNIA MONDAY
AUGUST 2, 1954 7:00 P.M.
The City Council of the City of Azusa met in
adjourned session at the above time and place for
the purpose of considering the Ordinance creating
the office of "City Controller".
Roll Call: Councilmen: Fawcett, Ortuno, Johnson,
Memmesheimer
City Attorney, City Engineer, City Clerk
Absent: Councilman Romero
Discussion was held on the proposed Ordinance.
Comparison of duties of the Officer as set forth in
the Ordinance and the duties of Finance Officer as
set forth by Kroeger & Associates were commented on.
Councilman Johnson offered, for titled reading and
waiving of full reading, the following Ordinance:

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, COUNTY OF IAS ANGELES,
STATE OF CALIFORNIA CREATING AND ESTABLISHING'THE OFFICE
OF "CITY CONTROLLER" AND DEFINING THE POWERS AND DUTIES
OF THE SAID OFFICE. Ordinance -
City Controller
Moved by Councilman Johnson,"seconded by Councilman Fawcett,
Ordinance be adopted as read.
Motion failed by the following vote of Council:
Ayes: Councilmen, Fawcett, Johnson -
Noes: Councilmen: Ortuno, Memmesheimer
Absent: Councilman Romero
Moved by Councilman Fawcett, and duly carried, Council
adjourn; time 7:20 P.M.
