Given the total cost of ownership and the rapid obsolescence of PC's, replacements are initially planned over a 4 year life cycle. By relocating PC’s and printers across departments and users as we procure new systems, we have been able to achieve optimal usage of the equipment and extend the life of the PC's to more than 4 years in most cases. FISCAL IMPACT: The adopted FY2018-19 budget includes funding for this equipment replacement is budgeted in the Information Technology Department equipment replacement budget in account 31407029357142.
