additional public comments and testimony.
D. In adopting Zone Change Z-96-4,the City Council makes the following findings:
Based upon the facts set forth in the Planning Commission and City Council staff reports,
and upon the evidence and testimony submitted to the Planning Commission and City
Council, the proposed changes in the Specific Plan and APU Campus Master Plan will allow
the University to better fulfill its mission, will more fully integrate the university with its
surroundings, and encourage the vitality of an important community institution. The
implementation of the revised Campus Master Plan will bring important benefits to the
general welfare of the residents of Azusa and the surrounding region.
The amendment to the Specific Plan as set forth in this ordinance is consistent with and in
conformance to the General Plan of the City of Azusa, and furthers the intent and purpose
of Chapter 88, Zoning, of the Azusa Municipal Code.
