HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 2334 ORDINANCE NO. 2334 A ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA CHANGING THE ZONE OF PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED AT 633 NORTH DALTON AVENUE FROM CBD (CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT) TO P (RESIDENTIAL AND OFFSTREET PARKING) - ZONE CHANGE CASE NO. Z-256 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby find, determine, and declare that: A. The applicant, Abelardo A. Contreras, et al. , has applied to this City for a change of zone of the subject property from CBD (Central Business District) to P (Residential and Offstreet parking) . The subject property is generally described as 633 North Dalton Avenue within the City of Azusa and is legally described as: Lot 41 of Block 35, of the Azusa Tract MR 15-93-96, and as shown on a map on file with the City Clerk. B. The change in amendment to the zoning ordinance set forth below for the subject property was duly initiated, and notice of the public hearing thereon were duly given and published in accordance with applicable law. C. Public hearings thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission of the City of Azusa on September 17, 1986, and by the City Council of the City of Azusa on November 3 , 1986. D. On September 17, 1986, the Planning Commission of the City of Azusa by Resolution No. 2390 recommended to the City Council that the zone change classification proposed for the subject property be approved. E. The City Council has considered all the information presented to it at the public hearing held on November 3, 1986, and finds, determines and declares that the public necessity, convenience, general welfare and good zoning practice require that the zone text amendment and zone change set forth in this Ordinance be made. F. This change of zone is consistent with the general plan of the City of Azusa and each of its elements. G. In taking this action the City Council considered the effects of the decision on the housing needs of the region in which the City is located and balanced those needs against the public service needs of the City residents and available fiscal and environmental resources. -1- mas/ORD2400 SECTION 2. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 19.06.010 of the Azusa Municipal Code and the zoning map referred to therein, the subject property described in this ordinance is hereby placed in the P (residential and offstreet parking) zone. SECTION 3. Upon the effective date of this Ordinance, the Director of Community Development shall revise the official zoning map of the City of Azusa to reflect the change in zone of the subject property. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published in the manner required by law. PASSED AND APPROVED this 1st day of December . 1986 .
