The City Council of the City of Azusa met in Special Session at the above time and place. Members of the Council had been notified of the Special Meeting by special messenger at least 24 hours before the meeting. Present at Roll Call: Councilmen: Fawcett, Ortuno, Johnson Roll Call Romero, Memmesheimer City Attorney, City Engineer City Clerk Mayor Memmesheimer stated that the purpose of the meeting was to establish a date for Public Hearing before the Council regarding the re- zoning from R-1 to C-1 of property located at the northeast corner of Azusa Avenue and Gladstone Street. It was moved by Councilman Ortuno, seconded by Councilman Fawcett that the City Council hold a Public Hearing on the request for the re -zoning Date set for of property located at Azusa Avenue and Gladstone Public Hearing on Street, more particularly described as Lots 8 and request for re - 16, Block C of Subdivision No. 1 of Azusa Land zoning of property and Water Company from R-1 to C-1 zoning,' as at Azusa Avenue & stated in the original petition by Midori S. Gladstone St. Ginoza and Sumire S. Ajioka; said Hearing to be held November 22, 1954 at 7:30 o'clock P.M. in the Civic Auditorium, and that the City Clerk be authorized to have publication made of such Notice of Hearing, and the mailing of cards of said Hearing, as prescribed in Ordinance #409, Section 20.8. This motion passed by a unanimous vote. Moved by Councilman Johnson, seconded by Councilman Adjournment Ortuno and unanimously carried that the meeting be adjourned. Adjournment time, 7:40 P.M. 162
