(CODE AMENDMENT NO. 159 ) .
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of
Azusa does hereby find, determine and declare that:
A. An amendment to the zoning ordinance set
forth below was duly initiated, notices
of public hearings thereon were duly
given and published in accordance with
applicable law.
B. Public hearings were duly held by the
Planning Commission of the City of Azusa
on February 17, 1988, and by the City
Council of the City of Azusa on March 7,
1988.
C. On February 17, 1988, the Planning
Commission of the City of Azusa by
Resolution No. 2538 recommended to the
City Council that the amendment to the
City' s zoning ordinance set forth herein
be adopted by the City Council.
D. The City Council has considered all of
the information presented to it at the
public hearing held on March 7, 1988, and
finds and determines that the public
necessity, convenience, general welfare
and good zoning practice require that the
following amendment be made, and
specifically finds that the amendment
clarifies the parking requirements for
single-family and two-family residential
structures by eliminating the inadvertent
application of apartment parking
standards to single-family and two-family
residences.
E. The proposed amendment to the zoning
ordinance is consistent with the General
Plan of the City of Azusa and the
elements thereof.
F. In taking this action the City Council
• considered the effects of the decision on
the housing needs of the region in which
the City is located and balanced those
needs against the public service needs of
the City residents and available fiscal
and environmental resources.

' . . .
(1) For one-family or two-family

the R-GA Zone, at least two parking spaces in

action, to the Planning Commission; "
(2) For multiple family dwellings, in
any zone, except the R-GA Zone, at least one
