HomeMy WebLinkAboutE-06 Staff Report - Final Parcel Map 82037CONSENT ITEM E-6 TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL VIA: SERGIO GONZALEZ, CITY MANAGER FROM: DANIEL BOBADILLA, P.E., DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS/CITY ENGINEER DATE: JANUARY 22, 2019 SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF FINAL PARCEL MAP NO. 82037 FOR A COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT LOCATED AT 303 E. FOOTHILL BOULEVARD BACKGROUND: On March 14, 2018, the Planning Commission approved a tentative map for the consolidation of six parcels into one parcel for a commercial development at 303 E. Foothill Boulevard. The proposed actions will approve Final Parcel Map No. 82037. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the City Council take the following actions: 1)Find that this project complies with the General Plan and is consistent with the approved tentative parcel map and any amendments thereto; and 2) Find that this project is in compliance with the provisions of the Subdivision Map Act; and 3) Approve Final Parcel Map No. 82037; and 4)Authorize the City Clerk and City Treasurer to endorse the certificates on the face of the map, which embodies the approval of Final Parcel Map No. 82037. ANALYSIS: The Planning Commission approved a tentative parcel map on March 14, 2018 to consolidate six parcels into one parcel at 303 E. Foothill Boulevard. The project constructed a new 29,996 square foot commercial building on a 1.4 acre site for the current tenant, Smart and Final. The final parcel map has been reviewed and approved by the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works for mathematical accuracy, survey analysis, title information, and for compliance with the APPROVED CITY COUNCIL 1/22/2019 Final Parcel Map No. 82037 January 22, 2019 Page 2 Subdivision Map Act. The final parcel map has also been reviewed and approved by City staff for conformance with the tentative parcel map and with city ordinances.
