AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA AMENDING SECTIONS 19 . 08 . 010,
19 . 08. 040 and 19. 08 . 050 OF CHAPTER 19 . 08
OF ARTICLE 19 RELATING TO SINGLE FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL ZONES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION 1. Section 19. 08 .010 of Chapter 19. 08
of Article 19 of the Azusa Municipal Code is amended to
read as follows:
"Section 19 . 08 . 010 . PURPOSE. The R-la,
R-lb, and R-lc, and R-ld single family
residential zones are intended as dis-
tricts of single family homes with not
more than one dwelling and customary
accessory buildings upon one lot. Except
as specifically provided elsewhere in this
title, any and every building and premises
or land in the R-la, R-lb, and R-lc, and
R-ld zones shall be used for or occupied
and every building shall be erected, con-
structed, established, altered, enlarged,
maintained, moved into or within the R-la,
R-lb, and R-lc, and R-ld zones exclusively
and only in accordance with the regulations
set forth in this Chapter. "
SECTION 2. Section 19 . 08 . 040 of Chapter 19 . 08
of Article 19 of the Azusa Municipal Code is amended by
adding Subsection (4) as follows :
" (4) In a R-ld zone, every lot shall have a
minimum width at the building line of fifty
feet and a minimum area of five thousand square
feet. "
SECTION 3. Section 19 . 08 . 050 of Chapter 19 . 08
of Article 19 of the Azusa Municipal Code is amended to
read as follows:
"Section 19 . 08 . 050 . YARD REQUIREMENTS.
There shall be established and maintained:
(1) A front yard having a depth of not less
than twenty feet in the R-ld zone and not
less than twenty-five feet in all other zones ,
provided that no front yard need be deeper than
the average depths of the front yards of the
lots next thereto on either side, a vacant lot or
lot occupied by a building with a front yard more
than twenty-five feet the required distance
being considered as having a front yard twenty
feet deep in the R-ld zone and twenty-five feet
deep in all other zones;
" (2) A side yard of at least ten percent of the
width of the lot on each side of the lot; pro-
vided that in no case shall the required side yard
be less than three feet nor more than five feet
in width, provided further that there shall be a
side yard of at least ten feet in widtr on the
street side of a corner lot in the R-lb., and R-lc,
and R-ld zone and at least twelve and one-half
feet in the R-la zone;
" (3) A rear yard having a depth of not less than
fifteen feet in the R-ld zone and twenty-five
feet in all other zones . "
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be
published as required by law.

do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 2093
was regularly introduced and placed upon its first reading
at a regular meeting of the City Council on the 19th day of
May , 1980. That, thereafter said Ordinance was
duly adopted and passed at a regular meeting of the City
Council on the 2nd day of June , 1980, by the following
vote, to wit:

NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
