HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 2105 ORDINANCE NO. 2105 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA PREZONING CERTAIN PREMISES UPON ANNEXATION (ZONING UPON ANNEXATION CASE NO. Z219) THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS : SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine and declare that the proposed zoning upon annexation case set forth below was duly initiated, that a notice of hearing thereon was duly given and published, that public hearings thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission and by the City Council. The City Council finds that the public necessity, convenience, and general welfare and good zoning practice require that the following prezoningupon annexation be authorized. SECTION 2 . Pursuant to the provisions of Section 19. 06. 030 of the Azusa Municipal Code, the following described premises are hereby designated and placed in the C-3 (General Commercial) Zone upon annexation to the City, to wit: That certain area now located in the unincorporated area of the County of Los Angeles , with a present zone classification of C-4 and more particularly described as the northwest corner of Fifth Street and Alosta Avenue legally described as : "Parcel 1: That portion of the Rancho Azusa De Dalton, in the County of Los Angeles , State of California, bounded by the following described lines: Beginning at the intersection of the northerly line of Fifth St. , 60 ' wide, as described in deed to the County of Los Angeles recorded as document #1417 on November 5 , 1925, in Book 5191, Page 234 of Official Records of said county, with the southwesterly line of the State Highway, 80 ' wide, as described in deed to the State of California recorded as document #872 on June 29, 1933 in Book 12230 Page 230 of Official Records of said county, then north 89° 59 ' 10" west along said northerly line of Fifth St. a distance of 215' ; thence northerly in a direct line to a point in said southwesterly line to the State Highway, distant northwesterly along said southwesterly line 250 ' from the point of beginning; thence southeasterly along said southwesterly line 250 ' to the true point of beginning. "Parcel 2 : That portion of the Rancho Azusa De Dalton (Patent 2, 106-107) in the County of Los Angeles , State of California, described as follows: Beginning at a point in the northerly line of Fifth St. as described in deed to County of Los Angeles, recorded in Book 5191, Page 234 in Official Records of said county, distant thereon westerly 215' from the intersection of said northerly line with the southwesterly line of State Highway as described in deed to the State of California recorded in Book 12230 Page 230, Official Records of said county; thence northeasterly in a direct line to a point in said southwesterly line of State Highway, distant thereon northwesterly from said intersection 250 ' ; thence northwesterly along said southwesterly line 100 ' ; thence southwesterly in a direct line parallel to the first described course to a point in said northerly line of Fifth Street; thence easterly along said northerly line to the beginning. " SECTION 3. The City Council does hereby find and declare that the designation of the proposed zoning upon annexation of the property described above will not have a substantially adverse effect upon the environment and a negative declaration has been prepared in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970 as amended and the State Guidelines and is hereby approved and adopted by the City Council. SECTION 4 . The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by law.
