HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 2137 ORDINANCE NO. 2137 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA PREZONING CERTAIN PREMISES UPON ANNEXATION (ZONING UPON ANNEXATION CASE NO. Z221) THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine and declare that the proposed zoning upon annexation case set forth below was duly initiated, that a notice of hearing thereon was duly given and published, that public hearings thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission and by the City Council . The City Council finds that the public necessity, convenience, and general welfare and good zoning practice require that the following prezoning upon annexation be authorized. SECTION 2 . Pursuant to the provisions of Section 19 . 06. 030 of the Azusa Municipal Code, the follow- ing described premises are hereby designated and placed in the C2 (Restricted Commercial) zone. That certain area now located in the unincorporated area of the County of Los Angeles, with a present zone classification of R-A-8000 and more particularly described as follows: "That portion of Section 35 , Township 1 North, Range 10 West, Rancho Azusa as recorded in Book 2, pages 106 and 107 of patents in the office of the County Recorder, County of Los Angeles, State of California, described as follows: "Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of Citrus Avenue 80 feet wide as it existed on February 9 , 1982, with the northeasterly prolongation of the southerly line of the Little Dalton Wash right-of-way as described in Book D-1697, pages 459 to 486 , of Official Records in the office of the County Recorder, County of Los Angeles; thence along said line S 82-33-34 W a distance of 932.46 ft. to its intersection with the easterly line of parcel 3 of Parcel Map No. 13425 as recorded in book 145 pages 50 and 51 in the office of said County Recorder, (the true point of beginning) . Said point of intersection being also on the City of Azusa boundary as it existed on July 9, 1969 ; thence S 00 05 ' 35" W a distance of 519. 93 ft. to its intersection with a curve concave to the northeast having a radius of 2210 ft. said curve being the boundary of the City of Azusa as it existed on May 11, 1981; and being parallel with and 10 ft. southerly of the northerly line of Alosta Avenue 100 ft. wide as it existed on February 9 , 1982; thence north- westerly along said curve and said City boundary following the same in its various courses and curves to the true point of beginning. " � L SECTION 3 . The City Council does hereby find and declare that the designation of the proposed zoning upon annexation of the property described above will not have a substantially adverse effect upon the environment and a negative declaration has been prepared in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970 as amended and the State Guidelines and is hereby approved and adopted by the City Council. SECTION 4 . The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by law. PASSED AND APPROVED this 3rdday of May 1982.
