ORDINANCE NO. 2251
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA CHANGING THE ZONE OF CERTAIN
PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE CITY OF AZUSA ON
THE NORTH SIDE OF NINTH STREET BETWEEN AZUSA
AVENUE AND SAN GABRIEL AVENUE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION 1 . The City Council of the City of
Azusa does hereby find , determine and declare that:
A. The subject area generally consists of the
parcels of property bordering the north side of
Ninth Street between Azusa Avenue and San Gabriel
Avenue in the City of Azusa (Lots 11 , 12, 22, 23
and 24 of Block 12, MAP OF AZUSA)
B. The change and amendment to the Zoning
Ordinance set forth below changing the zone of the
subject area was duly initiated, notice of public
hearing thereon was duly given and published in
accordance with applicable law;
C. Public hearings thereon were duly held by
the Planning Commission of the City of Azusa on
October 17 , 1984 , and by the City Council of
the City of Azusa on November 19 , 1984 ;
D. On October 17 , 1984, the Planning Commission
of the City of Azusa by Resolution No. 2072
recommended to the City Council that the change in
the zone classification of the subject area be
adopted;
E. The City Council has considered all of the
information presented to it at the public
hearing held on November 19 , 1984 , and determines
that the public necessity, convenience , general
welfare and good zoning practice require that
the following amendment and zone change be adopted;
F. In taking this action the City Council con-
sidered the effects of the decision on the housing
needs of the region in which the City is located
and balanced those needs against the public
service needs of the City residents and available
fiscal and environmental resources;
G. The change in zone classification is consistent
with the City' s General Plan.

SECTION 2. Notwithstanding the provisions of
Section 19 .06 .010 of the Azusa Municipal Code and the
zoning map referred to therein, the subject properties
described herein are hereby placed in and included in the
R3c (multi-family residential ) zone.
SECTION 3 . Upon the effective date of this
ordinance the Director of Community Development shall revise
the official zoning map of the City of Azusa to reflect the
changes in zone of the premises described herein.
SECTION 4 . The City Clerk shall certify to
the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be
published as required by law.

I , ADOLPH SOLIS , City Clerk of the City of Azusa, do
hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 2251 was
regularly introduced and placed upon its first reading at a
regular meeting of the City Council on the 3rd day of December ,
1984 . That thereafter, said Ordinance was duly adopted and
passed at a regular meeting of the City Council on the 17th day
of December , 1984 , by the following vote, to wit:

NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS : NONE
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: NONE
