AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA ADDING SECTIONS 2. 12. 090 , 2. 16.090 ,
2. 17. 050, 2. 18. 050 AND 2. 76. 017 TO THE AZUSA
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE REMOVAL OF
COMMISSION MEMBERS BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL AND ADDING SECTIONS 2. 12. 100 , 2. 16 . 100 ,
2. 17. 060 , 2. 18 . 060 , AND 2. 76. 018 TO THE AZUSA
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS
FOR COMMISSION MEMBERS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION 1. Sections 2. 12. 090 , 2. 16. 090 , 2. 17. 050,
2. 18. 050 and 2. 76.017 are hereby added to the Azusa Municipal
Code to read as follows :
"REMOVAL OF COMMISSION MEMBERS.
Any member of the Commission may be removed by
the Mayor, subject to approval of the City
Council, or may be removed by a majority vote
of the Council itself. "
SECTION 2. Sections 2. 12. 100 , 2. 16. 100 , 2. 17. 060 ,
2. 18. 060 and 2. 76 . 018 are hereby added to the Azusa Municipal
Code to read as follows :
"RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS.
Members of the Commission shall have been a
resident of the Ctiy for one (1) year prior
to appointment and shall remain a resident
of the City while serving as a Commissioner. "
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be
published as required by law.

I, ADOLPH A. SOLIS , City Clerk of the City of Azusa,
do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 2228 was
regularly introduced and placed upon its first reading at a regular
meeting of the City Council on the 21st day of May , 1984. That,
thereafter, said Ordinance was duly adopted and passed at a regular
meeting of the City Council on the 4th day of June , 1984 , by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES : COUNCILMEMBERS : CRUZ , COOK, LATTA
NOES : COUNCILMEMBERS : CAMARENA, MOSES
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS : NONE
