AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA REGULATING THE PARKING OF MOTOR
VEHICLES ON CERTAIN PRIVATE PROPERTY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. A new Section 11. 28.250 is hereby added
to the Azusa Municipal Code to read as follows:
"Section 11. 28. 250. Driving and Parking on
Private Property.
(a) No person shall park, stand, or drive
any vehicle upon any private property without
the express or implied consent of the owner
or person in lawful possession of such
property.
(b) When signs authorized by the provisions
of this Section are in place giving notice
thereof, no person shall park, stand, or
drive any vehicle contrary to the directions
or provisions of such signs on posted property.
(c) 'Private property' as used in this
Section shall mean any property other than
public streets, public allies, public ease-
ments, public rights-of-ways, public parks,
or real property owned by the City for
governmental purposes or in its governmental
capacity.
(d) 'Posted property' as used in this
Section shall mean any private property
enclosed on at least three sides by a
hedge, fence, wall, curbing or other con-
tinuous obstruction at least four inches
in height and easily visible or by a build-
ing and along the boundaries of which said
parcel of land there is posted a sign not
less than three square feet in area con-
structed in a sturdy substantial manner of
wood, metal, or equally substantial material;
upon which the words 'private property-
parking restricted-Section 11. 28.250 Azusa

appear in plainly legible letters no less
than three inches high and there is at least
one such sign for every 200 feet of boundary
of said parcel of land and one such sign along-
side of any vehicular entrance thereto or exit
therefrom.

(e) This section does not prohibit any act
either expressly authorized or expressly
prohibited by either Section 602 of the Penal
Code or Section 21113 of the Vehicle Code of
the State of California or by any other state
law.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be
published as required by law.

hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 2056 was regularly
introduced and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting
of the City Council on the 15ttday of May , 1978. That,
thereafter, said Ordinance was duly adopted and passed at a regular
meeting of the City Council on the 5th day of June , 1978,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen: Decker, Fry, Cruz, Moses, Solem
NOES: Councilmen: None
