HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 2058 ORDINANCE NO. 2058 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ESTABLISHING A SELF INSURANCE RETENTION FUND. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. A new Chapter 3.17 consisting of Section 3.17. 010 is hereby added to the Azusa Municipal Code to read as follows: "3. 17. 010. SELF INSURANCE RETENTION FUND- CREATION. There is created and established a special fund to be known as the ' self insurance retention fund' . The City Council shall annually or more often as considered necessary appropriate and place within this fund such monies as is considered prudent to cover projected losses and reserves for potential losses arising out of claims against the City for money damages . Any and all monies appropriated to and placed in this fund shall be used only to pay losses within the self insurance program and for no other purpose. " SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by law.
