AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA AMENDING SECTIONS 11. 60. 030, 11. 60. 050,
11. 60. 080 AND 11. 60. 090 OF THE AZUSA MUNICIPAL
CODE, RELATING TO THE LICENSING OF BICYCLES.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. Section 11. 60. 030 of the Azusa Municipal Code
is amended to read:
"11. 60. 030 LICENSE - REQUIRED. Every owner or person
in charge or control of a bicycle having two wheels either
of which is twenty inches or more in diameter, excepting
dealers thereof, within the City, shall, within ten days after
acquiring ownership, charge or control thereof, register the
bicycle with the City Recreation Department and obtain a
license therefor as herein provided. "
SECTION 2. Section 11. 60. 050 of said Code is amended
to read:
"11. 60. 050 LICENSE - FEE - AMOUNT. The Recreation
Department shall, upon the payment of the applicant of a fee
of One Dollar, issue to such applicant an identification
sticker having thereon, in figures and letters, the license
number, which identification shall be immediately placed and
securely attached by the owner or person in charge or control
of the bicycle to the frame of the bicycle so that the identi-
fication sticker may be plainly seen, and which identification
shall at all times remain on the bicycle and not be removed
therefrom. "
SECTION 3. Section 11. 60. 080 of said Code is amended to
read:
"11. 60. 080 LICENSE - VALIDITY REQUIRED. Every bicycle
license issued hereunder shall be valid and effective during
the ownership of the bicycle by the person for whom it is issued
for a period prescribed by the Division of Motor Vehicles which
shall not exceed five years. No person shall operate a
bicycle within the City unless it is registered and licensed
as provided in this chapter. "
SECTION 4 . Section 11. 60. 090 of said Code is amended to
read:
"11. 60. 090 SALE OR TRANSFER. Every person who sells
or transfers ownership of any bicycle within the City and any
person within the City who acquired the ownership or control
of a bicycle, shall report such sale or transfer or acquisition
to the recreation department within a period of ten days, and
the recreation department shall make a record thereof. Whenever
the owner of a bicycle licensed pursuant to this chapter
changes his address , he shall within ten days notify the recreation
department of the old and new address. "
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required
by law.

do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 1094 was
regularly introduced and placed upon its first reading at a regular
meeting of the City Council on the 16th day of December ' 1974.
That, thereafter, said ordinance was duly adopted and passed at a
regular meeting of the City Council on the 6tiday of January , 1975 ,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen: Rubio, Solem, Cruz, Arkison, Decker
NOES: Councilmen: None
ABSENT:Councilmen: None

I do further certify that I caused said ordinance to be
published prior to the expiration of fifteen days from the passage
thereof in the Azusa Herald, a newspaper of general circulation,
printed, published and circulated in the City of Azusa, on the
16th day of January, 1975, and that the same was published in
accordance with law.
