HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 1087 ORDINANCE NO. 1087 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ESTABLISHING THE ZONING FOR CERTAIN PREMISES PROPOSED TO RF ANNEXED TO THE CITY (Zone Change Case No. Z-180 - Easterly Annexation District No. 77 - City of Azusa and Azusa Foothill Citrus Company) . The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine and declare that the following zone change and amendment was duly initiated, that notice of hearing thereon was duly given and published, that public hearings thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission and by the City Council, and that the public convenience, necessity and general welfare and good zoning practice require that the following zone change and amendment be made. SECTION 2. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 19.06.010 of the Azusa Municipal Code and the zoning map referred to therein, the premises specifically described in Exhibit A, which is attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein, are hereby placed in the R-3b (multiple family residential) zone with the exception of that portion of the premises designated on the map attached hereto as Exhibit B and by this reference incorporated herein which are hereby placed and included in the C-2 (restricted commercial) zone. SECTION 3. The City Council does hereby find and declare that the determination by the Planning Commission that the changes in zone for the property described in Section 2 hereof will not have a substantially adverse effect upon the environment, has been prepared in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970 and the State Guidelines and is hereby adopted by the City Council. SECTION 4. Section 2 of this ordinance shall become effective at the same time that the annexation of the property described therein to the City of Azusa becomes effective . SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by law. Passed and approved this 4th day of November , 1974. Lt 113-324-6-N. Said southerly boundary of the City of Azusa being the centerline of the Little Dalton Wash right-of-way, as described in Parcel No. 143 of the final order of condemnation entered in Superior Court Case No. 743427, a certified copy of which being recorded on July 25, 1962 as Document No. 4737 in Book D-1697 Page 459 to 486 of official records in the office of the County Recorder of said County; on the south by the centerline of Fifth Street (60 feet wide) as described in deed to the County of Los Angeles recorded on November 5, 1925 as Document No. 1417 in Book 5191 Page 234 of said official records; on the east by the center- line of the 80 foot wide strip of land (now part of Alosta Avenue) described in deed to the State of California recorded on June 29,1933 as Document No. 872 in Book 12230 Page 2a of said official records; and on the west by an easterly boundary of the City of Azusa. Said westerly boundary of the City of Azusa being the northerly prolongation of the easterly line of said Lot 73 of Tract No. 20495; and on the west by an easterly boundary of the City of Azusa.
