HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 1081 ORDINANCE NO. 1081 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ESTABLISHING THE ZONING FOR CERTAIN PREMISES PROPOSED TO RF, ANNEXED TO THE CITY (Zone Change Case No. Z-178 - Easterly Annexation District No. 76 - City of Azusa and Charles Wright) . The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows : SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine and declare that the following zone change and amendment was duly initiated, that notice of hearing thereon was duly given and published, that public hearings thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission and by the City Council, and that the public convenience, necessity and general welfare and good zoning practice require that the following zone change and amendment be made. SECTION 2. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 19.06.010 of the Azusa Municipal Code and the zoning map referred to therein, the following described premises are hereby placed and included in the C-3 (General Commercial) Zone, to wit: That certain parcel of property consisting of 6 acres, more or less, at the northwesterly corner of Alosta and Barranca Avenues, and more particularly described as follows : Lot 12 of Tract 3472, in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per map recorded in book 42 pages 11 and 12 of Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said County. EXCEPT therefrom that portion of said Lot 12 lying northerly of a line which is parallel with and distant northerly 450 feet, measured at right angles, from the center line of Alosta Avenue, 33.00 feet wide as shown on the map of said Tract 3472. ALSO, except the southerly 33.50 feet of said Lot 12 as granted to the State of California for Public Highway Pur- poses in deed registered March 7, 1930, as Document No. 183939. ALSO, except that portion of said Lot 12 described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the easterly line of said lot with the northerly line of the southerly 33.5 feet of aid lot; thence westerly along said northerly line 46.91 feet to the beginning of a curve concave to the northwest, having a radius of 27 feet, tangent to said northerly line and tangent to the westerly line of the easterly 20 feet of said lot; thence northeasterly along said curve 42.33 feet to said westerly line; thence North 0° 06' 00" East along said westerly line 373.09 feet to the northerly line of the southerly 433.5 feet of said lot; thence easterly along said last mentioned northerly line to said easterly line; thence South 0° 06' 00" West along said easterly line 400.00 feet to the point of beginning, as granted to the County of Los Angeles for public highway purposes in deed recorded September 12, 1973, in book D 6015 page 486, Official Records. SECTION 3. The City Council does hereby find and declare that the determination by the Planning Commission that the change in zone for the property described in Section 2 hereof will not have a substantially adverse effect upon the environment, has been prepared in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970 and the State Guidelines and is hereby adopted by the City Council. SECTION 4. Section 2 of this ordinance shall become effective at the same time that the annexation of the property described therein to the City of Azusa becomes effective. SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by law. Passed and approved this 15th day of July , 1974.
