AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA APPROVING THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF
AZUSA OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED
AS NORTHERLY ANNEXATION DISTRICT NO. 75 TO THE
CITY OF AZUSA.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Annexation of Uninhabited
Territory Act of 1939 and pursuant to Resolution No. 6143, adopted
by the City Council of the City of Azusa on the 1st day of October,
1973, proceedings for the annexation to the City of Azusa of certain
uninhabited territory described as Northerly Annexation District No.
75 to the City of Azusa were duly and regularly initiated, and
WHEREAS, said resolution fixed November 19, 1973 at 7:30
P.M. in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of the City of Azusa
as the time and place for the public hearing of protests and objections
to said annexation, and
WHEREAS, notice of the time and place of said hearing was
published and mailed as required by law, and
WHEREAS, at the conclusion of said hearing, the City
Council did adopt Resolution No. 6150, finding and declaring that
a majority protest had not been made against the annexation, and
WHEREAS, all proceedings have been had in accordance with
said Resolution No. 6143 and the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory
Act of 1939; reference thereto hereby being made for further par-
ticulars;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Azusa
does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. That the annexation of that certain uninhabited
territory contiguous to the City of Azusa designated as Northerly
Annexation District No. 75 to the City of Azusa, be and the same
hereby is approved. Said territory is described as follows :
Beginning at an angle point in the boundary of the City
of Azusa as same existed on June 26, 1973, said angle
point being the intersection of the easterly prolongation
of the northerly line of Lot 24 of Tract No. 20971 as
shown on map filed in Book 593, pages 65, 66 and 67
of Maps, in the office of the Recorder of the County of
Los Angeles and the easterly line of that certain strip
of land 100 feet wide, for San Gabriel Canyon Road,
described in deed to State of California recorded in
Book 14740, page 14 of Official Records, in the office
of said recorder; thence North 110 30' 58" West along
said easterly line 2161.19 feet to the beginning of
a tangent curve in said easterly line, concave to the
east and having a radius of 950 feet, northerly along
said curve thrazgh a central angle of 55° 08' 58" a
distance of 914.41 feet to the easterly line of Lot 75
of Subdivision No. 2 Azusa Land and Water Co. as shown
on map recorded in Book 43, page 94 of Miscellaneous
Records, in the office of said recorder; thence northerly
and southwesterly along the easterly and northwesterly
lines of said Lot 75 to the northerly corner of Lot 61
of said Subdivision; thence southerly and easterly along
said boundary to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required
by law. Upon the effective date of this ordinance the City Clerk
shall file a certified copy thereof with the Secretary of State of
the State of California and after such certified copy has been so
filed and the certificate of the Secretary of State certifying to
its filing has been received by the City of Azusa, the City Clerk
shall file with the County Recorder of the County of Los Angeles the
affidavit and documents required by Sections 34080 and 34081 of the
Government Code and shall file a certified copy of the map and boundary
description of the annexed territory with the County Engineer and
the County Assessor of the County of Los Angeles and with the State
Board of Equalization of the State of California and the Census
Bureau of the United States government.

I, DEAN KLARR, City Clerk of the City of Azusa, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 1069 was regularly
introduced and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of
the City Council on the 19th day of November , 1973. That, there-
after, said ordinance was duly adopted and passed at a regular meeting
of the City Council on the 3rd day of December , 1973, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen: Rubio, Decker, Snyder, Clark, Solem
NOES : Councilmen: None

I do further certify that I caused said ordinance to be
published prior to the expiration of fifteen days from the passage
thereof in the Azusa Herald, a newspaper of general circulation,
printed, published and circulated in the City of Azusa, on the 13th
day of December , 1973, and that the same was published in
accordance with law.
