AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA AMENDING THE AZUSA MUNICIPAL CODE SO AS TO
REZONE CERTAIN PREMISES . (Zone Change Case No.
Z-172 - David Hermanson)
The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain
as follows :
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine
and declare that the following zone change and amendment was duly
initiated, that notice of hearing thereon was duly given and pub-
lished, that public hearings thereon were duly held by the Planning
Commission, and by the City Council, and that the public conven-
ience, necessity and general welfare and good zoning practice re-
quire that the following zone change and amendment be made.
SECTION 2. The Azusa Municipal Code is hereby amended
by the addition thereto of a new Section 19.06.016 reading as
follows :
"19.06.016. Zone Changes.
Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 19.06.010
and thezoning map referred to therein, the following des-
cribed premises are hereby placed and included in the C-3
(General Commercial ) Zone, to wit :
A parcel of property legally described as :
That portion of Lots 1 and 2 of Tract 13790, as
per map recorded in Book 275, Pages 46 and 47 of
Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of
said County, lying southerly of a line that is
parallel with the South line of said Lot 1 and
its easterly prolongation and which passes through
a point in the west line of said Lot 1 that is
distant Northerly 339.26 feet from the Southwest
corner of said Lot 1. EXCEPTING THEREFROM those
portions of Lots 1 and 2 described as follows :
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 2, Tract
No. 13790, M.B. 275, Pages 46 and 47, thence
N 89°51' 20" E 135.00 feet; thence N 44°51' 20" E
21 .21 feet; thence N 0°08'40" W 339.26 feet; thence
S 89°51 ' 20" W 6.00 feet; thence S 0°08'40" E 335.02
feet; thence S 44° 51' 20" W 21.21 feet; thence S
89°51 '20" W 130.76 feet; thence S 0°08'40" E 6.00
feet to the point of beginning. ALSO the South
6.00 feet of Lot 1, as granted to the City of Azusa
in deed recorded July 20, 1967 as Instrument No. 2052.
ALSO INCLUDING Lots 30, 31 and 32 of Tract No. 13790,
in the City of Azusa, County of Los Angeles, State of
California, as per map recorded in Book 275, Pages 46
and 47 of Maps, in the office of the County Recorder
of said County. EXCEPT THEREFROM the Easterly 50 feet
of Lot 30.
SECTION 3. The City Council does hereby find and declare
that the rezoning of the property described in Section 2 hereof will
have no detrimental effect on the surrounding area and no adverse
environmental effects will result. The negative declaration as
adopted by the Planning Commission after notice and public hearing
is adequate, has been prepared in accordance with the requirements
of the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970 and the State
Guidelines and is hereby adopted by the City Council.
SECTION 4 . The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as re-
quired by law.

I, DEAN KLARR, City Clerk of the City of Azusa, do
hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 1063 was
regularly introduced and placed upon its first reading at a regular
meeting of the City Council on the 6th day of August
1973. That, thereafter, said ordinance was duly adopted and
passed at a regular meeting of the City Council on the 20th day
of August , 1973, by the following vote, to wit :
AYES : Councilmen: Rubio, Snyder, Clark, Solem
NOES : Councilmen : None
ABSENT: Councilmen: Decker

I do further certify that I caused said ordinance to be
published prior to the expiration of fifteen days from the passage
thereof in the Azusa Herald, a newspaper of general circulation,
printed, published and circulated in the City of Azusa, on the 30th
day of August , 1973, and that the same was published in
accordance with law.
