HSU, ACTING CITY MANAGER K/\K- DATE: MARCH 24, 2005 SUBJECT: PURCHASE OF 15KV PAD MOUNTED SWITCHGEAR RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that in accordance with Section 2-518(b), under Article VII, Bidding and Contracting, of the Azusa Municipal Code, the Council approve the issuance of a Purchase Order to Federal Pacific of Bristol, VA, in an amount not to exceed $22,395. BACKGROUND The City stocks in its inventory, Pad Mounted Switchegear that are used for the purpose of feeding electricity to specific transformers belonging to our customers. The purpose of this purchase is to replenish the equipment from Stores inventory that was recently used by the Electric Division at Azusa Pacific University. The Purchasing Division has solicited written quotations from two known vendors who supply this type of equipment. Both vendors submitted written quotes, as listed below.
