area could not be held in an "0" zone; property cannot be
taken for public use by zoning but only by condemnation.
The City Attorney stated that City -owned property could
be zoned whatever the City wished, but would suggest that
the area be placed in the zone the City would like to have,
it if the City gave up City property.
Mayor Memmesheimer suggested that in order to clarify matters
for the property owners in that area of the proposed Civic
Center expansion that the City acquire property starting at
the north line of the Richfield station and extending north
to 8th Street for a depth of 150 ft., and acquiring also
the area from Sth Street to Santa Fe right-of-way between
Dalton Avenue and Soldano Avenue.

sideration to the zoning of the property on the

as C-2 zoning.

the legality and clarification.
