ORDINANCE NO. 1018
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA ADDING SECTION 8109 AND CHAPTER 5 (CONSISTING
OF SECTIONS 8501 AND 8502) TO ARTICLE VIII OF THE
AZUSA MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO PREFABRICATED
STRUCTURES AND MOBILE HOMES, TRAILERS AND COACHES.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as
follows :
SECTION 1. Section 8109 is hereby added to the Azusa
Municipal Code to read:
"SECTION 8109. PREFABRICATED STRUCTURES.
Prefabricated structures may be used for any purpose
subject to the same zoning and development standards which are
applicable to any other structure."
SECTION 2. Chapter 5 (consisting of Sections 8501 and 8502)
is hereby added to Article VIII of said Code to read:
"CHAPTER 5 - MOBILE HOMES, TRAILERS AND COACHES
SECTION 8501. RESIDENTIAL USE PROHIBITED.
The use of a mobile home, trailer or coach for residential
purposes is prohibited except within a mobile home park.
SECTION 8502. TEMPORARY USES.
The use of mobile homes, trailers or coaches for office,
commercial or manufacturing purposes shall be limited to temporary
use only for a period of time not to exceed six months. One
additional extension of the temporary use may be authorized by
the Planning Director for a period not to exceed six months.
Applications for temporary use permits shall be made to
the Planning Director. He shall issue the permit if he finds
that the proposed use complies with all applicable zoning
ordinances including setback requirements, parking requirements
and sign requirements. The permit shall not authorize any
utility hookups, except temporary telephone or electrical service
may be provided by means of a temporary power pole. "
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required
by law.

certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 1018 was regularly intro-
duced and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of the
City Council on the 17th day of May , 1971. That, there-
after said ordinance was duly adopted and passed at a regular meeting
of the City Council on the 7th day of June , 1971, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen: Rubio, Decker, Snyder, Clark, Solem
NOES: Councilmen: None

I do further certify that I caused said ordinance to be
published prior to the expiration of fifteen days from the passage
thereof in the Azusa Herald and Pomotropic, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Azusa,
on the 16th day of June , 1971, and that the same was published
in accordance with law.
