HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 1003 ORDINANCE NO. 1003 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA RELATING TO THE USE OF PROPERTY FOR DISABLED, REPAIRED OR IMPOUNDED VEHICLE STORAGE. The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. A new paragraph is hereby added to Section 9206 of the Azusa Municipal Code between the definition of "STABTJ , PUBLIC" and the definition of "STORY" to read: "STORAGE YARD FOR DISABLED, REPAIRED OR IMPOUNDED MOTOR VEHICLES: An open area used for the temporary storage of operative, non-operative or impounded vehicles operated in con- junction with an automobile repair garage, automobile body and fender repair shop or tow service. Dismantling or wrecking of vehicles is absolutely prohibited except for incidental replace- ment of minor items for the sole purpose of relocation or removal of vehicles from the premises . " SECTION 2. Section 9214.10 (b) 2 of said Code is hereby amended by adding a new paragraph QQ to read as follows: "QQ. Storage yard for disabled, repaired or impounded motor vehicles may be permitted after a public hearing in each case, under a Conditional Use Permit, in accordance with the procedures stated in Section 9231.12 and Sections 9231.20 to 9231.29, inclusive, provided no dismantling or wrecking is con- ducted in conjunction therewith, and such yard is located not less than 300 feet from Azusa Avenue, San Gabriel Avenue, Alosta Avenue or Foothill Boulevard. " SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by law.
