HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 994 ORDINANCE NO. 994 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AMENDING THE AZUSA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO COMPENSATION OF THE CITY CLERK. The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council having found that the United States is engaged in a war within the meaning of Section 53070 of the Government Code and acting pursuant to Section 53071 of said Government Code, hereby amends Section 2550 of the Azusa Municipal Code to read in full as follows: "SECTION 2550 CITY CLERK - SALARY, BONDING. For and during the term of office of the City Clerk of the City, and for and during each succeeding term of office of said City Clerk, until otherwise provided in accordance with law, the salary of said City Clerk of said City shall be the sum of One Thousand Dollars per month, which said salary shall comprise the entire compensation of said City Clerk as such, in full payment for all services rendered by him as such City Clerk, as such, and all fees collected by said City Clerk as such City Clerk, except as now or hereafter provided by law, shall be forthwith paid into the Treasury of the City. For and during the term of office of such City Clerk, of the City, and for and during each succeeding term of office of such City Clerk until otherwise provided in accordance with law, the said City Clerk shall furnish said City with a proper bond in the amount of Ten Thousand Dollars, in the form and manner required by law. " SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by law.
