HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 973 ORDINANCE NO. 973 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 972, DECLARING THE SAME TO BE AN URGENCY MEASURE AND RECITING THE FACTS CONSTITUTING SUCH URGENCY. The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows : SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 972 of the City of Azusa is hereby repealed . SECTION 2. This Ordinance is urgently needed for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety and shall therefore take effect immediately upon its adoption. Ordinance No. 972 was enacted as an urgency mea- sure to permit the Planning Commission and the City Council to review the existing ordinance requirements with respect to the size of single family residential structures, which can be constructed upon property in the R-2 and R-3 Zones . That Ordinance has prevented any development of property in the R-2 and R-3 Zones for single family residential use to the detriment of the owners and developers of property and to the City. In order to permit the orderly development of property to proceed, it is necessary that this Ordinance take effect immediately. SECTION 3 . The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published as required by law.
