HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 960 ORDINANCE NO. 960 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA RELATING TO ESTABLISHMENT OF A DATUM PLANE AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A DATUM MONUMENT WITHIN THE CITY OF AZUSA. The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Chapter 1 of Article VII of the Azusa Municipal Code consisting of Sections 7100 and 7100.1, is hereby amended to read as follows: "SECTION 7100. ESTABLISHING DATUM PLANE. Mean sea level is hereby declared to be the datum plane or base line from which all elevations or surface points in the City are to be measured or estimated. SECTION 7100.1. SAME MONUMENT LOCATION. That the official bench mark or datum monument within said City shall be a standard 3 inch United States Coast and Geodetic Survey brass cap monument, set vertically, and 3.2 feet above ground marked Q35-1923 in east face of granite block wall building (formerly library) now the Azusa City Hall. Said bench mark located ?5 feet + west of west property line of Dalton Avenue and 70 feet—+ south of existing new library building, and its elevation is 612.643 feet above the mean sea level or the datum plane. " SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by law. Passed and approved this 6th day of January 1969.
