HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 943 w V ORDINANCE NO. 943 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AMENDING THE AZUSA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO CLASSIFICATION OF ZONES. The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Upon recommendation of the Planning Commis- sion and after due and proper notice and hearings before the Planning Commission and the City Council, Section 9207 of the Azusa Municipal Code is hereby amended to read in its entirety as follows: "SECTION 9207. ZONES AND BOUNDARIES THEREOF. In order to carry out the purposes and provisions as herein stated, the City is hereby divided into several zones, known and designated as follows: "R-A" Residential Agricultural. "R-la" Single Family Residential 10,000 sq. ft. "R-lb" Single Family Residential 7,500 sq. ft. "R-lc" Single Family Residential 6,000 sq. ft. "R-2" Two Family Residential. "R-3a" Multiple Family Residential 2,000 sq. ft. "R-3b" Multiple Family Residential 1,500 sq. ft. "R-3c" Multiple Family Residential 1,200 sq. ft. "R-Ga" Multiple Garden Apartment Residential 3,500 sq. ft. "P" Residential and Off Street Parking. "C-2" Restricted Commercial. "C-3" General Commercial. "M-1" Light Manufacturing. "M-2" General Manufacturing. "W" Water Conservation. "C-F" Community Facilities. NOTE: Whenever a parcel or use is designated "R-3", with- out "a" or "b", it is R-3c. (a) The zones aforesaid and the boundaries of such zones are as shown upon a map attached hereto and made a part of this Code, being designated as Section 9236, "Official Zoning Map" and said map and all theotatlons , references, and other information shown thereon shall be as much a part of this Chapter as if the matters and information set forth by said map were all fully described herein. (b) Where uncertainty exists as to the boundary of any zone shown on said Official Zoning Map, the following rules shall apply: 1. Street, alley, or lot lines - where in the indicated zone boundaries are approximately street, alley, or lot lines, such lines shall be construed to be the boundaries, otherwise such boundaries shall be determined by use of the scale appearing on the Official Zoning Map unless specifically indicated by dimensions. 2. Determination by Commission - Where uncer- tainty exists, the Commission shall, by written decision, determine the location of the zone boundary. 3. Vacated street or alley - Where a street or alley is officially vacated or abandoned, the zone boundary shall be changed so as to include said vacated or abandoned street or alley in the same zone as the adjoining prop- erty to which it reverts. (c) Areas annexed to the City shall be classified in the same or nearest comparable zone classification in which such area was classified in theCounty at the time of annex- ation unless and until the City Council adopts different classifications in the manner provided for zone changes in Sections 9232.00 to 9232.80. Such changes may be initiated prior to the effective date of annexation and may be effect- ive upon annexation. " SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by law.
