ORDINANCE NO. 932
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING
THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED NORTHERLY ANNEXATION DISTRICT NO. 68
TO THE CITY OF AZUSA.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as
follows:
WHEREAS, on the 1st day of April, 1968, the City Council
of the City of Azusa did pass and adopt Resolution No. 5373, giving
notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to
the City of Azusa, said territory being therein designated as
Northerly Annexation District No. 68, and said resolution describing
the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, on the 20th day of May, 1968, at the hour of
8:00 o'clock P.M. in the Council Chamber in the Azusa Auditorium
located in the Civic Center at 213 East Foothill Boulevard in the
City of Azusa, County of Los Angeles, State of California, said
time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said
Resolution No. 5873 for hearing of protests to said annexation,
the said City Council did hear and pass upon all protests made to
the proposed annexation and did find and determine by resolution
that protests had not been made by the owners of one-half of the
value of the territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last
equalized assessment roll, nor by public and private owners of one-
half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as
determined by said assessment roll and the Assessor of the County
of Los Angeles, and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of
Azusa, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Los Angeles;
NOW, THEREFORE, the said City Council of the City of
Azusa does hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter
described to the City of Azusa, and does hereby further ordain that
the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of Azusa.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the City
of Azusa is hereby approved, is all that territory situate in the
County of Los Angeles, State of California, more particularly
described as follows:
That portion of Lot 1 and that portion of Lot 2 of
Section 26, Township 1 North, Range 10 West, San
Bernardino Base Meridian, as recorded in the
District Land Office located in the County of Los
Angeles, State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of Tract No. 26356,
as shown on map recorded in Book 677, Pages 98, 99 and
100 of Maps, in the office of the Recorder of the
County of Los Angeles, said corner also being the
northeast corner of Lot 1 of Section 26 as shown on map
of Tract No. 26013, recorded in Book 673, Pages 31, 32,
and 33, of said Maps (said northeast corner also being
an angle point in the northerly boundary of the City
of Azusa as it existed on February 5, 1968); thence
S 89° 19' 13" B along the northerly line of Lot 2 as
shown on Sheet No. 3 of said Tract No. 26013 a
distance of 1332.26 feet to the northeast corner of
said Lot 2; thence S 0° 11' 38" W along the easterly
line of said Lot 2 a distance of 1323.32 feet to the
northerly line of Sierra Madre Ave. 50.00 feet wide,
as shown on map of said Tract No. 26013, said last
mentioned northerly line also being the boundary of
the City of Azusa as it existed on February 5, 1968;
thence along said boundary S 89°19' 56" W 1563.41
feet to an angle point in said boundary; thence
along said boundary the following courses: N 0° 04'
17" E 50.00 feet, N 26° 59' 22" B 406.40 feet, N
89° 19' 56" E 50.00 feet and N 0° 04' 17" B 944.61
feet to the point of beginning.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as
required by law.
Passed and approved this 3rd day of JUAe , 1968.

I, DEAN F. IcLARR, City Clerk of the City of Azusa, do
hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 932 was
regularly introduced and placed upon its first reading at a
regular meeting of the City Council on the 2O h day of Ma,
1968. That, thereafter, said ordinance was duly adopted and passed
at a regular meeting of the City Council on the ' rd day of June
, 1968, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen: Rubio, Decker, Cooney, Calvert, Solem
NOES: Councilmen: None

published prior to the expiration of fifteen days from the passage
thereof in the Azusa Herald and Pomotropic, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Azusa,
