AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA AMENDING THE AZUSA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING
TO PLACING RUBBISH FOR DISPOSAL AND EXCLUSION OF
CERTAIN TYPES OF RUBBISH FROM PICK UP.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as
follows :
SECTION 1. Section 5210.2 of the Azusa Municipal Code is
hereby amended to read as follows :
"SECTION 5210.2. EXCLUSION FROM PICK UP.
Stones are not to be collected. Ashes will be
collected only if wet down, placed in a container of
the type described in Section 5210.3 below and weigh
less than fifty pounds per pick up.
SECTION 2. Section 5210.3 of the Azusa Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read as follows :
"SECTION 5210.3. PLACING RUBBISH FOR DISPOSAL.
Rubbish shall be placed in covered containers
and shall be set out not earlier than the day before
and not later than 7:30 o 'clock a.m. on the dates
set for collection. Containers shall be of metal,
rubber, plastic or any combination thereof with a
capacity of not less than ten nor more than thirty
gallons. Each such container shall be water-tight
and be provided with a handle or handles thereon, and
a tight-fitting cover. In those parts of the City
where there is an alley other than a blind alley,
rubbish shall be placed neatly in the rear of the
premises adjacent to the alley, in such portions that
the collector shall have ready access thereto. In
those portions of the City where there is no alley
in the rear of the premises, or where the alley is,
a blind alley, rubbish shall be placed at the curb
in such a manner that will not unduly interfere with
auto or pedestrian travel or will not be blown about
by the winds."
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as
required by law.

regularly introduced and placed upon its first reading at a
regular meeting of the City Council on the 18th day of March
1968. That thereafter, said ordinance was mil adopted n passes
at a regular meeting of the City Council on the 1st day of
April , 1968, by the following vote, to-MT:
AYES : Councilmen: Rubio, Calvert, Solem, McLees, Cooney
NOES : Councilmen: None
ABSENT: Councilmen: None

I do further certify that I caused said Ordinance to be
published prior to the expiration of fifteen days from the passage
thereof in the Azusa Herald and Pomotropic, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of
Azusa, on the 7th day of April , 1968, and that the same
was published in accordance with law.
