HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 926 ORDINANCE NO. 926 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AMENDING THE AZUSA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO RECEPTACLES REQUIRED FOR THE COLLECTION OF GAR- BAGE. The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows : SECTION 1. Section 5200.2 of the Azusa Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows : "SECTION 5200.2 RECEPTACLES REQUIRED. It shall be the duty of every owner, manager, or person in possession, charge or control of any boarding house, restaurant, hotel, apartment or eating house and of every person, occupying a dwelling house or flat within the City to provide, or cause to be provided, and at all times to keep, or to cause to be kept as in this Chapter prescribed, portable vessels, or receptacles for holding garbage. Each such vessel or receptacle shall be con- structed of metal, plastic, rubber, or any combination thereof, shall be water-tight and shall be so constructed as to contain not less than three, nor more than ten gallons, and shall be provided with a handle or handles on the outside thereof, and with a tight-fitting cover. The cover shall not be removed except when necessary to place garbage therein, or to take garbage therefrom." SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by law.
