HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 881 ORDINANCE NO. 881 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA PROHIBITING ASTROLOGY, CLAIRVOYANCE, CARD OR TEA READING, FORTUNE TELLING, HYPNOTISM, PALMISTRY,SPIRITUAL READINGS AND OTHER SIMILAR ACTIVITIES. The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. The Azusa Municipal Code is hereby amended by the addition of a new Section 4276 reading as follows: "SECTION 4276. ASTROLOGY, CLAIRVOYANCE, CARD OR TEA READING, ETC. , PROHIBITED. No person shall practice or profess to practice or engage in the business or art of Astrology, Augury, Card or Tea Reading, Cartomancy, Clairvoyance, Crystal-gazing, Divination, Fortune- telling, Hypnotism, Magic, Mediumship, Necromancy, Palmistry, Phrenology, Prophecy, or Spiritual reading, or any similar business or art, who either solicits or receives a gift or fee, or other consideration for such practice, or where admission is charged for such practice. " SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law.
