AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA AMENDING THE AZUSA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING
TO DISTANCE BETWEEN BUILDINGS IN ZONE R-1.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. After due and proper notice and hearings before
the Planning Commission and City Council, the Azusa Municipal Code is
hereby amended by the addition thereto of a new Section 9208.51 reading
as follows:
"SECTION 9208.51. DISTANCE BETWEEN BUILDINGS.
a. Accessory buildings shall not be located less than
ten feet from any main building. If the lot rears on
an alley, the garage shall maintain a distance of not
less than five feet from the rear lot line. "
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law.

I, JAMES MILLER, City Clerk of the City of Azusa, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 868 was regularly introduced
and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of the City Council
on the 4th day of January , 1966. That, thereafter, said ordi-
nance was duly adopted and passed at a regular meeting of the City Council
on the 17th day of January , 1966, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen: Rubio, Cooney, Salem, McLees, Memmesheimer
NOES: Councilmen: None

I do further certify _that I caused said ordinance to be
published prior to the expiration of fifteen days from the passage
thereof in the Azusa Herald and Pomotropic, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Azusa,
on the 23rd day of January , 1966, and that the same was pub-
lished in accordance with law.
