ORDINANCE NO. 867
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA AMENDING THE AZUSA MUNICIPAL CODE TO PROVIDE
SALARIES FOR MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL COMMENCING
APRIL, 1966, IN ACCORDANCE WITH STATE LAW.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows :
SECTION 1. The Azusa Municipal Code is hereby amended by
the addition thereto of a new Section 2101 reading as follows :
"Section 2101. COMPENSATION. Effective as of the beginning
of the new term of office for the members of the City Council
elected in April, 1966, each member of the City Council shall
receive a salary in the sum of $150.00 per month, payable monthly
for each month on or about the last day of such month, and
subject to such change as may be provided by Sections 36514 and
36516 of the Government Code of the State of California. "
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law.

I, JAMES MILLER, City Clerk of the City of Azusa, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 867 was regularly introduced
and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of the City
Council on the 4th day of January , 1966. That, thereafter, said
ordinance was duly adopted and passed at a regular meeting of the City
Council on the 17th day of January , 1966, by the following vote,
to wit :
AYES: Councilmen: Rubio, Cooney, Solem, McLees, Memmesheimer
NOES : Councilmen: None
ABSENT:Councilmen: None

I do further certify that I aused said ordinance to be
published prior to the expiration of fifteen days from the passage
thereof in the Azusa Herald and Pomotropic, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Azusa,
on the 23rd day of January , 1966, and that the same was
published in accordance with law.
