AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING
THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED EASTERLY ANNEXATION DISTRICT NO. 64
TO THE CITY OF AZUSA.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows:
WHEREAS, on the 6th day of July, 1965, the City Council of
the City of Azusa did pass and adopt Resolution No. 4873, giving notice
of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the City of
Azusa, said territory being therein designated as Easterly Annexation
District No. 64, and said resolution describing the boundaries of the
territory proposed to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, on the 16th day of August, 1965, at the hour of
8:00 o 'clock P.M. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City
of Azusa, County of Los Angeles, State of California, said time and place
being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 4873 for
hearing of protests to said annexation, the said City Council did hear
and pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and did find
and determine by resolution that protests had not been made by the owners
of one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as shown
by the last equalized assessment roll, nor by public and private owners
of one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as
determined by said legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Azusa,
and is uninhabited territory in the County of Los Angeles;
NOW, THEREFORE, the said City Council of the City of Azusa
does hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter des-
cribed to the City of Azusa, and does hereby further ordain that the
said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of Azusa.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of
Azusa is hereby approved, is all that territory situate in the County
of Los Angeles, State of California, more particularly described as
follows:
That portion of the southwest 1/4 of the northwest
1/4 of the southwest 1/4 of Section 36, Township 1
North, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base Meridian
and that portion of the Rancho Azusa de Dalton, in
the County of Los Angeles, State of California,
described as follows:
Commencing at a point of beginningbeing the north-
west corner of Lot 1, Tract No. 1384 as shown on
map recorded in Book 536, pages 49 and 50 of Maps
in the office of the County Recorder, County of Los
Angeles (said point also being an angle point in
the boundary of the City of Azusa as it existed
on March 22, 1965); thence S 0° 06 ' 12" W along the
westerly line of said Lot 1 and its southerly pro-
longation 261.90 feet to the northeast corner of
Lot 17 of said Tract; thence S 89° 481 54" W along
the northerly line of Lots 15, 16 and 17 of said
Tract and their westerly prolongation to the
westerly line of Citrus Avenue (80 feet wide) as
shown on map of Tract No. 20495 recorded in Book
556& pages 39 to 44 inclusive, of said Maps; thence
N 0 061 12" E along said westerly line to the
northeast corner of Lot 52 of said last mentioned
•
Tract; thence easterly along the boundary of said
last mentioned Tract to the westerly line of Citrus
Avenue (65 feet wide) as shown on said last
mentioned map; thence northerly along said last
mentioned westerly line to the westerly prolongation
of the northerly line of said Lot 1; thence N 89°
481 05" E along said westerly prolongation to the
point of beginning.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required
by law.

I, JAMES MILLER, City Clerk of the City of Azusa, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 852 was regularly intro-
duced and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of the
City Council on the 16th day of August , 1965. That, thereafter,
said ordinance was duly adopted and passed at a regular meeting of the
City Council on the 7th day of September , 1965, by the following
vote, to wit :

NOES: Councilmen: None

I do further certify the I caused said ordinance to be
published prior to the expiration '. fifteen days from the passage
thereof in the Azusa Herald and Pomotropic, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Azusa,
on the 15th day of September , 1965, and that the same was
published in accordance with law.
