HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance NO. 819 ORDINANCE NO. 5 /y 819 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AMENDING CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF THE AZUSA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO FEES FOR THE CHECKING OF SUBDIVISION MAPS AND OTHER PLAN CHECKING AND INSPECTION FEES. The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. The Azusa Municipal Code is hereby amended by the addition to Article VII of a new Chapter 8 reading as follows: "CHAPTER 8 - FEES AND CHARGES SECTION 7800. CITY ENGINEER FEES. Whenever the City Engineer is required or requested by any person other than the City to plan checking or inspection services in connection with the construction or proposed con- struction of public works or facilities proposed to be dedicated to the public, he shall charge and such person shall pay to him a fee as follows: (a) For plan checking - 2% of estimated construction cost. (b) For inspection - 3% of estimated construction cost. " SECTION 2. Subsection (e) of Section 9100.18 of the Azusa Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: "(e) Checking Fees. In addition to all other fees and charges required by law, upon filing a tentative map the subdivider shall pay to the City Engineer a checking fee of $40.00 plus $1.00 per lot within the subdivision, and upon filing a final map the subdivider shall pay to the City Engineer a checking fee of $40.00 plus $1.00 per lot within the subdivision and shall pay directly to the County Engineer a fee for his services in examining such map in the same amount as the fee fixed by County Ordinance for examining or checking similar maps of subdivisions in unincorporated territory within the County. " SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law. Passed and approved this 25thday of August , 1964.
